MY 100 WORD PRODUCT MANAGEMENT DIARY

I have lost the art of writing and yes it’s hard to pin down these words now because I do not feel really inspired. However my new slogan for living life “just do it” denies me the pleasure of not penning down my thoughts and what I learn as I go through this journey of becoming a product manager.

Yes, I just landed a role as an associate PM at a startup, which is exciting but very very tasking. I come from an engineering background and when I say Engineering I do not mean Computer Engineering, I mean Chemical Engineering. so this is way beyond my comfort zone. One might ask why I took a job I know nothing about and how do I think I will succeed? sincerely, I know I'm afraid of failing but I am also confident that my desire to learn and to grow outweighs the fear of failure.

I have always been intrigued with the idea of birthing a product and the process it goes through from idea to launching. I have always been curious how big companies can use data to predict the next big thing and how they do not only use that information to create products consumers and users want but also products users want to buy. So that is why I took up this challenging role.

Why is He boring me with his story? that is because I have to learn how to write and communicate effectively and efficiently as a product manager and what better way is there to learn how to effectively write than by writing.

Therefore, here is the deal. I will try my best to update you on all that i learn as a new PM every week. it will include what I read, what I work on( which I might not give details on Because of NDA). It will mostly be a 100-word weekly essay on product management and product growth.

this will serve as my diary and you will be my audience. I do not promise to make it perfect but one thing I know ill try to do is to be real and genuine.

I know I'm not ready for this but I will work my socks off to make sure this works.
